AIM OF THE COURSE

The module provides an overview of the origins and significance of the sustainability concept. Measures are discussed as to how the concept of sustainability can be implemented in the operational practice of a production company. 

After successfully completing the module, students will be able to

  • classify the importance of the concept of sustainability for production companies,
  • identify which areas of a production company (e.g. production, procurement, distribution) can be designed with sustainability in mind, 
  • name and evaluate specific levers for shaping sustainability in production companies, 
  • form their own opinion on how they can implement the concept of sustainability in their later professional life, 
  • present the results of subject-related case studies to other participants in a target-oriented manner.

Examination

The written exam in WiSe 23-24 will take place on Thu, 01.02.2024 from 12.00 to 14.00 as a 90-minute attendance exam.
